The Color "Green"

There is something hidden and the more we know, the more it haunts us
There is something that is taking away our human rights, our beautiful environment and our right to knowledge and education
We the citizens are seen as the enemy but also as the product
The product of a universal economy that is controlled by the invisible where the defining goal is money values over life values

Our own governments are being controlled by the invisible through the process of handcuffing social polices therefore taking away citizen rights
The air we breathe, the water we thirst for and even are own skin is up for bids
Huge corporations are controlling our world making everything expendable, especially human beings
People are selling themselves short to enable that they can keep up in this capitalist-driven world that the rich have created

We are no longer members of a community instead we are members of the market
Now, I ask “will it be better off when we hit the bottom and prepare for risk rather than prevention?”
Are we the products, just waiting to be sold?
People are selling their body parts and their genes in order to thrive in this rat race
But, companies will never stop the search for new products that they can sell cheaply
These companies are taking away our civil rights, our rights to stand up against the wrongdoings against us and even, our rights to protest

The heartbreaking part is that our own governments are encouraging them to do so
Our own governments that we vote for, that we put our trust into in order to protect our society are the ones who are harming us
Secret policies are being made on our behalf without our knowledge
These policies severely affect the world we live, because as citizens of the world we are all connected
Less jobs and more welfare equates lower job standards that are in violation of our human rights

The WTO and GAT is an invisible form of government that haunts us as citizens
They are the instrument that controls all countries and it is privatization that truly scares us
This form of privatization will soon ask us to pay for our basic human needs such as; water and we as citizens will slowly continue to lose control of our lives
We will cease to be Canadians or Brits or Mexicans and just become a mere consumer of the economy.
The race to bottom seems inevitable…

However, this is not a time to surrender or to give in rather, it is a time to stand up and fight
We can and must stand up and ask for change before the inevitable becomes a reality
We must stop this before we can no longer be ourselves and express our creativity freely
We must stop trying to fit into the status quo and instead thrive for a world in which we want to live in
A world that makes us proud with it’s beauty in nature along with the magnificent people that occupy and protect it
We can stop this global corporate rule!
We will not let them take away our right to colors and ideas and words that make us who we are
We must stand up to the WTO and these malicious corporations that are selling humans for a fair price
We must make it clear that we are not for sale and we cannot be sold!
